Alessio Milivojevic is ready to take on the challenge of being Michigan State's starting quarterback
Milivojevic is prepared for the expectations and responsibility that come with leading the Spartans
When Michigan State takes the field this fall, the Spartans will enter the season with clarity at the most important position on the roster - the quarterback.
After taking over the starting job late last season, junior Alessio Milivojevic is set to lead the Spartans into the new era under head coach Pat Fitzgerald. Milivojevic started the final four games of the 2025 season, showing significant poise and leadership before earning the starting role heading into the 2026 campaign.
For Milivojevic, the transition from being a young, inexperienced player, to starting quarterback has brought more attention, but he is embracing the responsibility that comes with the position.
“Being the starting quarterback, there's going to be a ton of questions surrounding you, surrounding your teammates, surrounding your coaches,” Milivojevic said. “So I think it's just embracing it and coming in every day with a positive mindset and just listening to those questions and giving them the right answers.”
