It was a tough day on the West Coast for an injury-riddled Michigan State team, which played hard against a solid opponent in then-No. 9-ranked UCLA last weekend. The Spartans lost to the Bruins by a final score of 28-10.
While injuries and youth hampered the MSU offense, a couple of busts and missed assignments allowed UCLA to put the game away against the defense. However, I remain impressed with how hard the team continues to play, and feel it will be in a highly competitive game against Michigan following the Spartans' bye week.
