Jordan Hall doubtful as Michigan State lists 15 players on initial Wisconsin availability report
Seven Spartans ruled out, with seven more questionable ahead of Saturday’s trip to Madison
Michigan State could be without Jordan Hall against Wisconsin, with the linebacker listed as doubtful on the initial availability report released Wednesday.
Hall is one of 15 Spartans on the report ahead of Saturday’s game in Madison. Seven players are listed as out, while seven others are questionable, leaving Michigan State with uncertainty at several positions as it prepares for a 12:30 p.m. ET kickoff on Big Ten Network.
Linebacker is among the biggest concerns. In addition to Hall’s doubtful designation, Cam Stodghill, Dion Crawford, and Brady Pretzlaff are listed as questionable. Their availability will help determine how much depth the Spartans have at the position against the Badgers.
Michigan State also faces multiple absences in the secondary. Cornerbacks NiJhay Burt, Keshawn Williams, and Tyran Chappell have been ruled out, while fellow cornerback Tre Bell is questionable.
Running back Cam Edwards, who will miss the remainder of the 2026 season, is among the seven players listed as out. Fullback Jay Coyne, offensive lineman Tristan Comer, and tight end Joe Caudill round out that group.
Along the offensive line, Conner Moore and Eli Bickel are questionable. Defensive lineman Cal Thrush also carries that designation.
The initial report leaves seven Spartans’ availability unresolved and lists Hall separately as doubtful. Those distinctions matter heading into the weekend: Hall has not been ruled out, while the questionable players’ status remains uncertain.
Wisconsin’s report includes three players listed as out: cornerback Cai Bates, wide receiver Jaylon Dominegaux, and offensive lineman Michael Roeske.
The Badgers also have uncertainty in their backfield, with running backs Abu Sama III, Bryan Jackson II, and Mason Lane all listed as questionable. Offensive lineman Emerson Mandell, tight end Ryan Schwendeman, and punter Sean West are probable.
