The next wave at Michigan State is already taking shape

Scott, Ward, and Glenn used a season of challenges, mentorship, and internal growth to prepare for what comes next

From the moment they arrived on campus in the summer, Jordan Scott, Cam Ward, and Kaleb Glenn understood that the transition into Big Ten basketball would take some time.

What they could not fully anticipate was how quickly the lessons would come – injuries, shifting roles, uneven results, and the mounting pressure that builds as March approaches. What they showed, though, was the ability to absorb it all without losing direction.

Over the course of the season, each of them found their footing in different ways, but a common thread ran through their development: they were not navigating it alone.

Learning what it means to be a Spartan

For Scott, growth was not just about adjusting to the speed of the game or the physicality of the conference. It was about understanding the standard that exists inside the program, and much of that came from the seniors who set the tone daily.
