Michigan State’s offense taking shape under Nick Sheridan

Five practices into fall camp, Michigan State’s offense remains very much a work in progress – building, learning, and growing together under a new coaching staff.

New offensive coordinator Nick Sheridan has been tasked with helping rebuild a program coming off multiple disappointing seasons, but he said he does not view this challenge any differently from those he has faced throughout his coaching career.

“I enjoy the challenge every year I’ve coached regardless of the returners or new guys,” Sheridan said. “I just think it's awesome. I love football, I love coaching and so I don’t ever look at it that way, like; ‘we’re in a great place because we have so many guys coming back or man it's just new’. There’s just a different challenge every year on getting that group to play their best and trying to find a way to win the games.”
