Things spiraled for the Spartans against the Badgers
It was another tough loss for Michigan State against a surging Wisconsin team that did damage on the ground and through the air. The Badgers ultimately defeated the Spartans by a final score of 31-3 in Week 5.
MSU's run defense against Wisconsin was a substantial concern, but the consistency with which teams have been able to put the secondary into positions of conflict is concerning as well.
Against a wounded Illinois team on homecoming weekend, hopefully things turn around for the Spartans in Week 6.
