Robyn Fralick begins assembling a new-look Michigan State women's basketball team
With Theryn Hallock healthy, a dynamic backcourt, and added size inside, the Spartans enter preseason practice focused on finding the right combinations
Michigan State women’s basketball is officially back to work, but for head coach Robyn Fralick and the Spartans, the opening weeks of practice will be about much more than preparing for the first game.
They’ll be about figuring out exactly what this new-look team can become.
Michigan State enters the season after graduating several key contributors, leaving Fralick with what she called the youngest team she has coached since arriving in East Lansing.
“We have good young players and just a lot of new people learning how to play together,” Fralick said. “We have interesting pieces. We have a lot of complementary pieces.”
For now, that process of learning how those pieces fit together is at the center of Michigan State’s preseason.
